Amelia Artalejo

Amelia Artalejo found peace with our Lord and Savior on August 1, 2013. Mela’s life began in California before moving to El Paso and graduating from Bowie High School. For over 60 Years she and her Husband, John Artalejo, inspired others with their eternal love and devotion. Together they raised their children; Rick (Cindy), Pauline (Rick) Vallejo, Mark (Delinda), and grandchildren; J.R. and Jaunell Vallejo. Her compassion, strength and charitable qualities led to her success in medical administration. Amelia is preceded in death by her parents; Manuel and Antonia Alarcon, siblings; Teresa, Lalo, Angelita, Manuel Jr., Gilberto, Richard and Jose Luis. She is survived by sisters; Guadalupe Rivera, Elvira Salazar and Gloria Porras. She has left a significant imprint in our hearts and her presence will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Mom, until we meet again. Pallbearers will be Rick Artalejo, Mark Artalejo, J.R. Vallejo, Jaunell Vallejo, Richard Vallejo and Danny Porras. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., 79907. Mass of Burial will be on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 12:45 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
