Amelia C. Lara

Dedicated in loving memory to Amelia Chavez de Lara, 89. Amelia Lara, who was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015, just short of her 90th birthday. She was born on March 22, 1926 in Ciudad Juarez to the late Maria Luisa Arevalo and Enriquez Chavez. Amelia lived in El Paso most of her life. She was preceded in death by her brother, Enrique Chavez. She is survived by her daughter, Gabriela Livingston; grandchildren: Emmanuel Lopez and Gabriela Lopez; and great-grand daughter, Noemi Lopez. She is also survived by siblings: Sergio Chavez, Mario Chavez, and Graciela Sosa. Amelia is loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 from 4:00-9:00 PM with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:30 PM at Sunset Funeral Home - East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church at 1:00 PM, followed by the Interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
