Amelia M. Nevarez

Amelia M. "Molly" Nevarez, peacefully left this earth to be home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a proud graduate of Bowie High School Class of '44, She played softball, basketball and was Head Varsity Cheerleader her senior year. She was a supervisor for W.R. Weaver Co. for 37 years. She met her love of her life, Joe Nevarez, Jr. to whom she was married for 57 years. She enjoyed entertaining people and loved to dance with her husband. They were often mistaken for professional dancers. She had several nieces and nephews and numerous godchildren. She was born to her mother, Zenaida Cortez, and father Manuel Montes,. She was preceded in death by husband, Joe Nevarez, Jr. and son, Adrian A. Nevarez, brothers Ricardo Sanchez and Jesus Sanchez, sister Dolores Martinez. She is survived by her sons: Michael and wife Margie, David and wife Rose, Joseph and Robert Nevarez. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with Prayer Service at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 12:00PM at Calvary Chapel of El Paso, 1771 N. Zaragoza. Interment will follow at 2:00PM at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
