Amparo Alvarado

Juana Amparo Alvarado, age 90, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and she will be greatly missed. Amparo is preceded in death by her parents; Augustin Gutierrez and Osbelia Nava; her loving husband; Eduardo Alvarado, and son; Edward “Bibi” Alvarado; daughter; Claudia Canchola; brother; Guillermo Gutierrez and sister; Marcela Marrufo. She is survived by her dearest children; Victor Canchola (Leticia), Acela O. Canchola, Amparo Canchola Mendoza (Pascual), Santa Alvarado, sister; Rosa Maria (Gonzalez) Gutirrez; and her 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.  A Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home- West with a Rosary to commence at 11:00 am. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 05, 2025, at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church, 4700 Delta Drive. Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-West, 480 N.
