Amy Romero Porras

Amy Romero Porras, 1921-2016 Our dear mother, Amy, continued her eternal walk with Jesus as she passed away peacefully at Bethesda Gardens Care Center in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Amy was born and lived in El Paso, Texas and continued her later years with husband Luz (Luchy) and family in New Mexico and more recently in Scottsdale Arizona with her daughter Irene Carroll and grandson Derek. Amy was preceded in death by her husband, Luchy Porras, sons Freddy and David and Grandson Fred. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Nicolas and Esther Romero and by brothers, Paul, Eddie, John, Nicolas and Manuel Romero. Amy is survived by two sisters, Romelia Reyna and Esther Borrego and husband Bob and by two brothers, Richard and Jimmy Romero. Amy’s surviving children are daughters, Irene Carroll and Norma Miller and two sons, Daniel and Robert Porras. Amy is also lovingly survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter, Ava. Amy very much enjoyed visits from her family, friends, and caregivers. She forever touched their hearts with her love, a wonderful sense of humor and genuine concern for all.
