Anita S. Gandara

Anita S. Gandara, 71, was taken to heaven by our blessed Mother Mary on January 17, 2016. She was surrounded by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe H. Gandara, Jr., parents; Francisco & Maria Anaya, brother; Francisco Anaya, Jr., sister; Gloria Arroyos. She is survived by her son, Joe Gandara III (Yolie Garcia) & Daughter; Lorraine Sierra (Joe), Five grandchildren; Javier Ramirez, Joseph Sierra, Joanna Sierra, Jonathan Gandara, Melanie Gandara, Two great granddaughters; Jackie Ramirez, Jennifer Ramirez, sister; Dolores Chavez and countless relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Anita was not only a loving wife, but a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her love was not limited to her family; it was felt by relatives and friends who found comfort upon stepping foot in her home. Everyone will miss her energetic and spiritual giving nature. Holidays, especially Christmas was a big celebration at her home. Anita was also a active member of the Catholic Church and the ACTS woman's movement. Visitation: 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Vigil: 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (Main). Funeral Mass: 9:30 a.m., Monday, January 25, 2016 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (Main). Interment: 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 25, 2016 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
