Anita Valdez

It is with great sadness we announce that Anita Valdez, 89, of El Paso Tx passed away on December 30, 2022.  Anita was born on September 12, 1933 in Zacatecas Mexico.  She became a resident of Texas in 1989.  Anita is predeceased by her parents, Maria Guadalupe Casas and Jesus Valdez Almeda; her sister Herminia Castaneda and brothers Uvaldo Valdez and Javier Valdez.    She is survived by her sisters Ermelinda Leon and Juana Urueta and her brother Gustavo Valdez and many friends and family including nieces and nephews.  She worked in child care before retiring.  She continued to be involved with helping and supporting her family by babysitting nieces and nephews.  She was a wonderful babysitter and did so with unconditional love.  She loved knitting and gifted many blankets and shawls to family members.   She enjoyed spending time in her garden, cooking, dancing at family gatherings, going to church, and vacation days spent at the beach. Our Tia Anita is already greatly missed.
