Ann Elizabeth Vickers, 76, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 30, 1948, in Paris, Kentucky, Ann was a devoted mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
Ann dedicated her life to nurturing her family and community. A great cook, she found joy in creating a welcoming home filled with love and laughter, enticing friends by sharing a great home-cooked meal with them. Ann’s love and compassion she shared with the pets she had throughout her life was a testament of just how big her heart was filled with love.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Theo Vickers and by her siblings Barbara J. Tate (Ralph), Jo Ann Peel and leaves behind her brother Walter W. Vickers Jr. (Madonna). She is survived by her cherished children, a son Timothy C. Todd (Sandra) and a daughter Saraha E. Jefferson-Burns (Danny). Ann leaves behind her pride and joy which were her grandchildren: Stephon D. Gary, Alexander C. Jefferson, Landann E. Burns, and Timothy C. Todd, Jr. She joins her beloved dog Sparky in heaven and leaves behind her little dog Peaches and her cat Me-Me. Her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will continue to inspire and guide her family for generations to come.
A celebration of Ann’s life will be held in the summer of 2025 in Lexington, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to “Paws 4 the Cause” Lexington or “FairyTails Pet Adoption” Winchester, supporting Ann’s passion for animals.
Ann’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all her loved ones, friends, and family throughout her life who have provided love, kindness, and brought joy in her final days. Ann Elizabeth Vickers will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, family, friends and her love and memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
