Anna Grace Cutts- “Grace” to her close friends, “Mom” to her girls and “Granny” to her grandchildren and great-granchildren- passed away peavefully on Friday, June 12, 2015. She was born on January 21, 1926 in Vidalia, Georgia and never gave up on her delightful Southern enunciation despite leaving Georgia over 50 years ago. She married a then-young Army officer and WWII veteran, Francis Willet Cutts and would remain devoted to her beloved Frank for 45 years until his death in 1995. A devoted Army Wife, she raised three girls through Frank’s service in the Korean war and postings in Germany and throughout the U.S. The family settled in El Paso in 1965 where all three girls graduated from high school and Grace remained, enjoying family and friends until her death last week.
She is survived by her three daughters Francine Perry, Denise Cohen and Susan Clark; her seven grandchildren, Carlos Perry, Franklin Perry, Richmond Perry, Cameron Cohen, Ian Clark, Colin Clark and Madeline Clark and her five great grandchildren, Madison Painter, Richmond Perry, Kiana Perry, Joshua Cohen and Rachael Cohen.
Visitation is from 5:30 – 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30 pm Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Graveside service is at 9:30 am Friday, June 19, 2015 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. A procession from Sunset Funeral Home will leave at 9:00 am. Dr. Walter Mueller of Del Sol Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you kindly consider contributing to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (www.fallenheroesfund.org) in memory of our Grace.
