Anne Louise Fernandez

May 13, 1953 — July 5, 2026

El Paso

Anne Louise Fernandez, 73, born in Les Cayes, Haiti, transitioned on July 5, 2026. She was the beloved widow of Sergeant Major Teodoro Fernandez and leaves behind a legacy marked by devoted service to others. She carried the warmth and strength of her homeland with her throughout her life while embracing the people and cultures that became part of her journey.

Anne spent her life caring for others, both through her career in healthcare and through the devotion she gave to her family and friends. A devoted Catholic, her faith was the foundation of her life and guided her with grace, compassion, and quiet strength.

Above all, Anne was a devoted mother. She loved her children unconditionally and was their greatest champion, offering unwavering love and support through seasons of both abundance and adversity. She was a steady source of wisdom, encouragement, and strength, never passing judgment, only offering compassion, guidance, and a helping hand. Anne took great pride in the family she raised and in the extended family she lovingly embraced and supported.

She is survived by her three children, Sandra, Yvelt, and Ingrid; her eight beloved grandchildren, Émile, Amani, Madeleine, Dominic, Logan, Elle Marie, Lucien, and Yves; her sisters, Yanick and Viviane; and countless extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by her graciousness and devotion.

Anne embraced life with remarkable vitality. She loved bringing people together through her cooking, expressing her love in meals shared with family and friends. She had a lifelong passion for music and found joy in dancing right up until her final days. Her extraordinary green thumb allowed her to grow the seemingly impossible in the desert of El Paso, and she had a remarkable gift for breathing life into everything she touched—not only the flowers and plants she lovingly tended, but also her family, whose lives flourished through her constant love, care, and encouragement. Anne will be remembered for her compassionate nature, generosity, steadfast faith, resilience, and unwavering zest for life.

Her legacy of compassion, faith, grace, and service will continue to live on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered.
