Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Antonio Gamboa Chargualaf has gone home to be with our Lord. Born October 10, 1953 in Asan, Guam, departed on August 11, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Salas Chargualaf and Julia Gamboa Chargualaf; brothers, Eloy G. Chargualaf & Tedy G. Chargualaf; sister, Cecilia C. Carbullido, as well as numerous other loved ones. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 40 years, Sun P. Chargualaf; daughters, Christina White & Cynthia (Pete) Adame; son, Charles Chargualaf; grandsons, Chase Evan White and Anthony Cohle White, and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who loved and respected him.
Tony graduated from John F. Kennedy in 1972. He joined the U.S. Army and left the same night he graduated from high school for basic training in South Korea. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and retired from White Sands Missile Range in 2007. He enjoyed spending time with his family, barbecuing, fishing, and playing dominoes. He was a wonderful man who was dedicated to his faith, family, and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Visitation to be held Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church on 5301 Wadsworth from 4:00 – 8:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30am on Monday August 18, 2014 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church and Committal Service to follow at 11:00am at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery (5200 Fred Wilson Rd).
