Antonio Munoz Jr.

Antonio Munoz Jr., age 78, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in El Paso, Texas.

He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, godfather and friend. Antonio is preceded in death by his parents: Antonio Munoz and Maria Cecilia Payan as well as his brothers: Anastacio and Hector Munoz. He is survived by his wife: Mary Ellen Munoz, his son: Patrick Munoz (Ivonne), his sisters: Guadalupe Alvarez and Ester Quiroga, and his granddaughter: Savannah Munoz. He is also survived by many friends and family to cherish and honor his memory.

Antonio was a student, a teacher, an artist, and an optimist. Among his many accomplishments he was selected as Outstanding Ex of Canutillo H.S. and Teacher of the Year at Coronado High School. After retirement he became involved with the Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris award twice. He was a valuable member of any community he joined.

 A Memorial Gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2026 followed by a reception at Doreen Gallegos Multi-Center 1150 Duffer Lane, Anthony, NM.
