Antonio Sanchez

Antonio ‘Tony’ Sanchez, 84, of Chaparral, NM died peacefully on Saturday April 2, 2016. Tony was born on March 23, 1932 in El Paso, Texas to Domingo & Teresa Sanchez. Tony was a US Marine who proudly served his country in the Korean War. After his military service, Tony lived in Fresno California and worked as a mechanic before eventually coming home to El Paso and establishing in Chaparral, NM. Tony was a member of the VFW 8919 branch and enjoyed calling bingo for several years. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Tony is survived by his 4 siblings; Luis Sanchez, Maria Sanchez-Garcia, Carmen Rayas & Art Sanchez and 4 children; Gloria Jones, Carol Reese-Desantis, Tony Sanchez Jr. and Dennis Ray Sanchez. He was also loved by multiple nieces, nephews & grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be said at 1:00pm on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at St. Raphael Catholic Church.
