Argelia “Sunny” Artalejo, 85, of El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 29, 2025. She was a devoted woman of faith whose unwavering trust in the Lord shaped every step of her life. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched all who knew her.
Sunny was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a devout Catholic who was a true testament to the power of faith. She found comfort in her faith, spending countless hours praying the rosary. Her unwavering faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her with grace, compassion, and a deep trust in God’s will. She was a beacon of faith and a true blessing. Sunny will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Sunny had an incredible and deep love for her family. A devoted mother, she instilled in her children the importance of love, compassion, and service to others. Her family was her greatest treasure. She was a devoted presence at family gatherings, always offering her support and sharing in the joy of every special moment. Her generosity knew no bounds.
Sunny was a woman of fierce spirit and unshakable strength. Known for her fiery determination and remarkable tolerance for pain, she faced life’s trials with quiet courage and unwavering resilience. Yet beneath that strong will was a heart full of tenderness and love — always ready to give, to comfort, and to serve. Her selflessness was evident in every act of care and kindness she offered to those around her. Sunny lived her faith not just in word but in action, trusting in God with a deep and steady devotion. Her life was a reflection of grace, compassion, and enduring love.
Sunny had a quick and witty sense of humor, teasing those around her with love and jokes. She always had the best advice and anecdotes to share with you. Her wisdom and sense of humor were gifts to everyone who knew her. Sunny will be remembered for always putting others first, showering people with kindness and love.
Sunny found immense joy in tending to her garden and caring for her beloved dogs, who were constant companions and cherished members of her family. Her gentle spirit and nurturing heart touched both the flowers she grew and the lives of those she loved.
Sunny is survived by her children Paul (Elizabeth) Danciger, Marie (Zac) Jacobson, Suzanne (David) Danciger-Garcia; her grandchildren, Lauren Danciger, Breanna Danciger, Noah Jacobson, Isaac Jacobson and Ezra Jacobson; her great grandchildren Brayden and Caden Danciger; She is also survived by her brother Leopoldo Artalejo III, her sister Maria Ludeman; her cherished nieces and nephews and extended family.
Sunny was preceded in death by her parents Leopoldo and Maria Luisa Artalejo, her sister, Yolanda Gonzalez, brother in law, Louis Gonzalez, her nephew, Louie Gonzalez and her son, Andrew Danciger.
Her Rosary will be held at 10:00am on May 16, 2025 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1551 Belvidere St. with a Funeral Mass to commence at 10:45am. Her Graveside Service will follow at 12:30pm at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, 4900 McNutt Rd.
