Armando Valentino Velasquez

Armando Valentino Velasquez, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 1, 2013. Armando was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas and a member of the Catholic Community. He is preceded in death by his parents Albino & Francisca Velasquez. He is survived by his loving wife, Emilia Velasquez. Son, Armando V. Velasquez Jr. ( Monica), Daughters, Aida Norma Velasquez, and Ana Maria V. Rivera ( Alfonso); Sisters, Rita Garibay (Raul), Ernestina Martinez (Felipe), Velia Bonilla, and Gloria Zubiate (George); Grandchildren, Bryan, Tyler, Gabrielle, Joshua, Sabrina, and Jacob; Great Grandaughter, Mia; along with many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas with a Rosary at 7:00 PM; 9521 North loop Drive. Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 9:30 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church; 7912 Rosedale. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors. Family to serve as pallbearers.
