Arthur Lebron Mitchell, of El Paso, TX went home to be with God on St Patrick’s Day, Thursday, March 17, 2016. He was born August 13, 1941 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Arthur was united in holy matrimony to Ella L. Barrow on November 27, 1963. They had two children but both suffered miscarriages. During this time Arthur and Ella traveled from one end of the United States to the other end and traveled throughout Europe as well. He was a very dedicated husband who had an unusual sense of humor. He readily shared whatever God gave him. Arthur graduated from Webster University on May 14, 1988 with a Masters of Arts Degree. Arthur is survived by his very devoted wife, Ella Mitchell and step brothers; Billy Polk and Reginald Clark of Chattanooga, Tennessee; several uncles: John Edward Stewart of San Diego, California; Thomas Stewart and Matthew and Patricia Stewart of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Arthur also survives several cousins from Chattanooga, Tennessee: Brenda Hill, Ruby Page, JoAnn Dallas, and Cheryl Lacy of Indianapolis, Indiana. Arthur was also revered by his wife’s nephew Reginald Kerns and niece Lisa Kerns of Chicago, Illinois. “They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever.” Psalm 125:1 In Loving Memory of Arthur Lebron Mitchell U.S. Army Retired August 13, 1941 – March 17, 2016 Visitation will be from 5:00pm-9:00pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
