Aurora Robledo, a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas died on April 25, 2016. She met her husband, Robert Robledo, and married him on October 25, 1958 and were married for 55 years until his death. During their marriage, friends and family enjoyed watching them dance to “Swing” music together. She received her Associates Degree in Accounting from the El Paso Community College. She was a participant in the University of Texas at El Paso’s continuing education program. She volunteered at the Red Cross at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and was for many years a voter precinct worker at Travis Elementary School. After her husband’s death, she became a member of the Grandview Golden Years Community group and developed many friendships. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School class of 1956. She was a loyal Jeopardy watcher, avid reader, and loved to win jackpots at the casino. Aurora is survived by her daughter, Dr. Laura L. Robledo; son, Commander Edward John Robledo; her daughter in law, Irene; her grandchildren Edward John Robert and Veronica Josefina. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Robledo, son, Lt. Commander Robert O. Robledo, grandson Robbie, three brothers Guillermo Murillo, Roberto Holguin, Carlos Holguin and sister Manuela Loya. Visitation will be held from 3:00pm to 7:00pm with a Vigil/ Rosary at 6:00pm on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Interment will be private.
