Avelina O. Valverde

Avelina O. Valverde, age 87, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 23, 2026. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; and will be greatly missed. Avelina is preceded in death by her parents; Manuel and Maria Orozco; her dearest son; Guillermo Valverde Jr.; her brother; Manuel Orozco Jr.; and her sister; Belen Torres. She is survived by her loving husband; Guillermo Valverde; her daughters; Yolanda Mimbela and Meg Blankenship; her siblings; Carlos Orozco, Herlinda Torres, Dolores Corral and Margarita Holland; her 4 grandchildren; John Mimbela, Mike Mimbela, Zach Valverde and Chase Valverde; and her 7 great grandchildren; Jonathan, Marie, Evelyn, Nathan, Victoria, Jay and Michael. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home- Northeast with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. A Scripture Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home- Northeast. A Graveside Service will follow at 12:30 pm at Restlawn Memorial Park and Cemetery.
