Barbara Ann Morris

June 22, 1944 — June 22, 2015

Barbara Ann Mabon Morris was born on June 22, 1944 and joined our Lord and her loving husband, Fred Morris on her 71st birthday, June 22, 2015. Barbara was born and raised in El Paso, Texas as the first born daughter to Donnie and Leonard Mabon. Barbara attended Burgess High School where she was the lead majorette winning numerous baton twirling honors such as Miss Sun Carnival Queen. She was the lead twirler for Barbara Prewitt's dance and twirl teams where she won numerous city and state titles. Barbara was always so proud to be an El Pasoan and knew it would always be her home. She started her career at State National Bank downtown and that is where she met the love of her life of 50 years, Fred Gregory Morris who joined our Lord just six weeks prior on May 10th. Barbara and Fred were a true love story. They loved each other and their family and businesses they built together passionately and with great dedication. They were rarely apart and the Lord knew Barbara belonged in heaven with Fred soon after his passing. Fred took her hand and welcomed her home. Barbara was a beautiful golden soul full of life. She offered everyone a smile and a hand each and every day. Her day always started out with announcing, "It's a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky" even on those rare cloudy days. Barbara was truly the woman behind the man helping Fred Build his successful Financial and retirement planning firm, Mormac Brokerage Agency, Inc. into a firm managing millions in assets throughout the state of Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Barbara also owned and managed Oregon cleaners and was an active member of the El Paso Junior Woman's League. Barbara was a loving and deeply committed mother to four children being a best friend to each of them. She was their ray of sunshine and their biggest cheerleader. Barbara was the perfect example of grace, beauty, love, happiness, strength, dedication and kindness. She was an angel to everyone she touched. She will be greatly missed.
