Beatrice “Bea” Cortez, aged 69, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on Sunday, November 16, 2025. She faced everything in her life with courage and grace, but most importantly, with unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.
She taught us all the importance of a positive attitude in any circumstance. She showed us how love without measure is essential to a fruitful life. It was that love that drove her devotion not only to her own children, but to all the little ones who throughout the years had the opportunity to experience the wonders of Bea’s Daycare; a place filled with “Auntie Bea’s” loving care, kindness and discipline.
Bea’s love was evident in the many roles she played – she was her daughter’s pillar of strength, her son’s confidant and die-hard fan, her brother’s most loyal cheerleader, her grandson’s loving nurturer, a wonderful and dedicated daughter, a faithful wife and an unconditional friend to many.
Although today our hearts feel sorrow, we take comfort in the knowledge and certainty that she is more alive than ever as a citizen of Heaven - a place she believed in with all her heart.
Bea is survived by her beautiful immediate family; children Priscilla and Fernie Cortez, grandson Dominic Encino, brother Manny Garcia and husband Fernando Cortez. She will also be greatly missed by her loving aunts, numerous cousins and many wonderful friends.
