Benita Gomez, 98, passed away February 1, 2011. Benita, a homemaker, born in Ruidosa, Texas March 21, 1912 was preceded in death by her husband Refugio Gomez. She is survived by one brother, Isaac Hernandez, four sons; Emmanuel (Oralia), Refugio Jr. (Emily), Luis (Amelia) and Mario Gomez and by six daughters; Guadalupe Santiago, Chila Cerecerez (Francisco), Mary Gomez, Rosalina Peveto (Larry), Lourdes Vargas and Angie Trujillo (Robert); 42 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren . Visitation on Thursday 4-9 pm, rosary at 7:30 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am at St. Pius X Parish, 1050 N. Clark. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home East.
