Betty Jean Bowen

Betty Jean Bowen, age 96, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 22, 2023. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; and will be greatly missed. Betty is preceded in death by her dear parents; Everett R. Amos and Bertha Rossbottom; and her loving husband; John Thomas Bowen. She is survived by her dearest daughters; Julie Bowen Gumley and Jean Hodinh; her grandchildren; Arlen Hodinh and Aaron Hodinh (Stefanie); and her wonderful great-grandchildren; Benny Hodinh and Hayden Hodinh. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home- West with a Prayer Service to follow at 6:30 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 14, 2023 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr.
