Betty Marie Woods

On December 18, 2014, Betty Marie Woods passed away peacefully at home in the loving care of her family. Betty was 79 years old. A long time resident of El Paso, Texas, she was born on November 7, 1935 to Samuel Lewis Hoffman and Georgia A. Braby-Hoffman of Garden Grove, Iowa. In 1950 she stole the heart of Warren Woods from Clark County, Iowa, whom she would later marry. Betty was a beloved cafeteria volunteer at Thomas Manor Elementary and cared for all of her grandchildren with great love and pride. An avid walker, Betty loved to travel and enjoyed visiting the famous Lunch Box café in the Lower Valley. Betty is survived by her children, Lois and Nicho Ramos of Gruver, Texas; Rick Woods; Jimmy and Jovita Woods, Yolanda and Larry Casillas, Grandchildren Roy and Richard; Great Grandchildren: Bianca, Ariel, Alexis and Bernadette Casillas: Saul, Justine and Christopher Woods; Adaleigh Woods. She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Woods. A celebration of life and prayer service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home - Americas.
