Bobby H. Marquez

A proud retired Army Sergeant 1st Class entered into eternal rest on December 06, 2022 in El Paso, Texas.

He was born in Los Angeles, California in July 10, 1954 to Mary Herrera and Raul Marquez. At the age of 17, he began his military career. He retired very proudly from the Army in 1992 with 21 years of service. From there he worked as a field engineer at Raytheon Technologies and retired after 20 years.

Throughout his career, he traveled to many different countries including Germany, Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE and Kuwait. With the Good Lord's blessings, he always returned home safely to his loved ones. Bobby is survived by his beloved wife Sandra G. Marquez, his son Robert Marquez, his daughter Darlene Nevarez, his step son Bo Solis, and sisters Ruby Martinez and Carol Gutierrez. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren to honor and cherish his memory. Bobby is preceded in death by his mother Mary Herrera, his father Raul Marquez, and his step daughter Randy Renee Gutierrez. Bobby was loved by all those he met and will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. El Paso, Texas 79907. A Mass will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. A Graveside Service will then follow at 12:30 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd. El Paso, Texas 79907. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home- Americas.
