Carmen Luz Chavez, 95, born on July 22, 1922 to Jose Isabel Chavez and Leonor Rosales in El Paso, Texas. She passed away September 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death be her parents and is survived by her sons: Enrique and Luis Chavez; and daughter, Maria Luisa Kaminski. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm, Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00pm, Friday, September 8, 2017 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
