On the 3rd day of our Lord of December 2015 our beloved Matriarch, Carmen Q. Garcia, was called to our Savior's side. Born March 17th 1935, Carmen lived a full and beautiful life to the wonderous age of 80. She was preceded in death by her son Armando, and is survived by her husband Ascensión, her sons: Joseph Lara, Alejandro, Arthur, Cesar Daniel, Alfredo Aguilera, and Arturo Venegas, daughters: Yolanda Lara, Olga Alicia, and Elsa Hernandez. 21 Grandchildren, and 24 plus Great Grandchildren. Viewing will be on Saturday, December 5th and Sunday, December 6th from 4:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 4:00pm on Sunday at Sunset Funeral Home-East, located at 750 N. Carolina Street, with Funeral Services on Monday December 7th at 10:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home-East Chapel. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery East located at 12400 Montana Ave. Carmen was, and always will be, the Rock that created the foundation of the family, and the benchmark for all the generations to follow. She will be sorely missed, but will forever be in our hearts and everlasting memory. We rejoice together as we bid her a final farewell into eternity at the side of our Lord.
