Carmen H. Natividad, 90, gained her angel wings on the early morning of April 9, 2026. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Carmen lived a beautiful and full life of love. She adored being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and took great pride in being the head of a beautiful and large family she lovingly created with her husband of 62 years, Francisco.
Carmen loved to be relaxing at home and loved to cook, making the absolute best comfort Mexican cuisine for her family.Carmen was very social and outgoing, maintaining years and years of friendships with those she grew close to throughout her life. To all her family and friends, Carmen was an immense joy to be around as she was incredibly funny, kind and supportive to all.
Carmen was a passionate member of San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church and utilized her faith to contribute in various roles, including participating in the church choir, assisting in fundraising, decorating, and helping in the kitchen. Her latest role in the church was as a Eucharistic Minister, and she proudly carried out her duties. She also contributed to the non-profit Catholic organization MANA, dedicated her time to assist with the food bank. Carmen loved her job as a door greeter at Walmart and was a proud employee for 15 years.
Born in Fabens, Texas, Carmen grew up in a large family with her beloved brothers Moises Hernandez, Luis Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, and Pablo Hernandez, whom all precede her in death. She was born to Sara Garcia Hernandez and Carlos Hernandez, but later tragically lost her mother in a car accident when she was three years old. Her early roots shaped her into the strong and resilient person that she became in her later life, and embraced a fearless and loving spirit those close to her know well.
Carmen is survived by her husband, Franciso Natividad, along with her children and their spouses, Irma N. Gonzalez and preceded in death by son-in-law Alfredo J. Gonzalez., Franciso Natividad Jr. and preceded in death by daughter-in-law Corina Hernandez, Leticia N. and Juan F. Campos, Carmen Natividad, Javier and Mary Natividad. She is survived by her grandchildren, Gabrielle Carreon and spouse Adam Carreon, Isaac Natividad, Natalie Campos, Jacqueline Gonzalez, Noah Natividad, Zachary Campos, Cristina Gonzalez and Carlos Natividad; along with her great-grandchildren Olivia Carreon and Luca Carreon and several nieces and nephews. Carmen also leaves behind her dog and faithful companion, Daisy.
