Carmen Velasco

Carmen V. Velasco, 94, was called home to be with Our Lord on September 28th, 2015 surrounded by her family who love her. Carmen was born on March 21, 1921 in Greeley, Colorado to Ysabel Valadez and Aurora Hernandez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Velasco; and sons, Macario Valadez and Jose Velasco, Jr. She leaves behind to treasure her memory her daughters: Maria A. Guerrero, Lupe Diaz, Belen Velasco, Angelita Torres; sons: Richard Velasco, Juan M. Velasco, Felix Velasco; daughters-in- law: Christina Valadez, Connie Velasco, Mague Velasco, sons-in-law: Antonio Diaz and Ramon Torres; Life Partner, Syndee Ramirez; Grandchildren: Samuel, Robert, Linda, James, Beto, Lydia, Gustavo, Janie, Tony Jr., Geraldo, Vanessa, Ray III, Stephanie, Joseph, Pedro, Adrian, Victoria, Valerie and 32 Great Grandchildren. Forever in the hearts of people she touched. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 2:15pm at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
