Catalina S. Gonzalez

Catalina S. Gonzalez passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the age of 85 surrounded by loved ones. Our beloved mother was always so generous towards others. If you ever complimented her on an article of clothing or a piece of jewelry, you had better be ready to receive it because that’s how giving she was. She was funny and you were always sure to share a good laugh with her. She always loved playing music and dancing, even while doing household chores. She is preceded in death by her parents Jesus Santiesteban and Guadalupe Solis, her husband Raul Gonzalez Sr., and great grandchild Adam Chavira. She leaves her loving memories to cherish by her loving children Esther Brown (Randy), Carlos Gonzalez, Martha Chavira (Fred), Raul Gonzalez (Olga), Suzie Beitler (Gene), Barbara Damian (Joe) and Albert Gonzalez (Lettie). She is survived by 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Thank you to the nursing staff of Mesa Hills Rehabilitation Center for all their kindness, love and all they did in our mother’s last days. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Saint Luke Catholic Church. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
