Cecilia Dolores Güereña

Cecilia Dolores Güereña “Periquita” 87, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023.

            Cecilia was born in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico on March 12, 1936. Cecilia would later marry the love of her life, Jose Ernesto.

            Cecilia was a world traveler and appreciated a good book. She loved taking care of her family by cooking delicious meals for them and sharing special family recipes. She enjoyed starting her day with a hot cup of coffee and a pan dulce. Her favorite thing was laughing with her grandchildren while she sang and danced with them.

            Cecilia was a beloved wife, mother, and Nana. She was a great example of kindness, strength, and love. She will be remembered for her elegant sense of style, beauty, and grace.

            Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Hazel, her siblings, Pablo, Gilberto, Roberto, Carlos, Jose and Margarita, and her sons, Felipe and Marco. She leaves behind her sons, Francisco Carlos and wife Dianne, Roberto, and daughter Cecilia and husband Tony. Also her beloved grandchildren, Gabriella, Cristina and Thomas.

            Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, with Rosary at 6:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 10000 Pheasant.
