Charles Craig Evans entered into the hands of our Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Craig proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran. He dedicated many years of his life to being a longtime educator, touching the lives of countless students and colleagues throughout his career.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Solita and Wayne Evans, and his siblings, Jon Evans, Cynthia Evans, and Melody Evans.
Craig is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Hilda Sue Evans; his children, Steven Evans, Shari Evans, Erin Echols and Brian Evans, his Son-in-law Patrick Echols and his Daughter-in-law Kimberly Evans; his brother, Kenneth Evans (Ida Evans); and his cherished grandchildren, Sara Evans, Ricky Weber, Shelby Weber, Rheanna Evans, Malachi Tucker, Eloise Echols, and Atticus Echols, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will continue to honor and cherish his memory.
"In lieu of flowers, the Evans family requests school supplies be donated at the memorial service for pick-up by the family with the intention of donating them to the schools Craig taught at, which were so much like second homes to him and each one he loved so deeply."
