Charles “Don Carlos” Mais, 93, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 01, 2025. He was an extraordinarily kind and gentle husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an irreplaceable employee where he spent 35 years at the El Paso Electric Co. He worked his way up from the warehouse to an executive position. Charlie made such a difference in all the lives he touched and will be deeply missed. His passing is a huge loss to all who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his biological parents: Harold LeGrand Dally, Sr., and Tereza Carmona. The amazing person that Charles was can be credited to his upbringing by his adoptive parents who preceded him in death: Silverio and Carmen Beles. He is also preceded in death by seven siblings.
He is survived by his long time love of his life and wife of 74 years, Anna Mais; their surviving children: Mark Charles Mais (Holly), Margaret Mais Gill (Terry), and Teresa Ann Mais; their 4 grandchildren: Mark Austin Mais (Kim), Vanessa Christine Mais Olguin (Jared), Christopher Terence Doblado (Amy), Howard Mitchel Doblado II, as well as 5 great-grandchildren: Taylor (Austin), Jaxon (Vanessa), Phoenix (Christopher), Isaac (Christopher), and Julian (Christopher). He is also survived by many members of his extended family and friends to cherish and honor his memory.
In honor of his wishes a remembrance service to pay your respects to Charles and family will be on Thursday, 7/17/2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Homes-West, 480 N. Resler Drive, El Paso, Texas, 79912.
