Cid Lasher, 61, of El Paso passed away on September 13, 2013. Born on May 17, 1952 to Katy Siqueiros and the late Salvador Siqueiros in Mexico City , he was the eldest of three children. As a talented self-taught percussionist, one of his first musical accomplishments was as drum major for the Bel-Air High School marching band from 1969-1970. He spent many years performing as a professional country and rock drummer and toured with Tony Ingrams Band opening for Dolly Parton, Freddy Fender, and others. Cid was an avid race car enthusiast. As a member of the NHRA, he drag-raced at the El Paso Raceway in his cherished 1969 AMX which he proudly rebuilt. He also attended numerous professional races in the NHRA circuit. Cid was also a very successful Insurance and Real Estate Agent in El Paso . A dedicated son, life partner, father and brother Cid survived by his mother, Katy Siqueiros of El Paso, TX; life partner, Judy Sjostrom of El Paso, TX; daughter, Thalia Siqueiros and son-in-law Jesse Harvel of Las Vegas, NV; daughter Michelle Athena Cole and son-in-law Kelly Cole of Bakersfield, CA; step-children Amber Ingle and Stephen O. Sjostrom of Phoenix, AZ; Omar and Christian Aguirre of Las Vegas, NV; sister Elizabeth C. “Sally” Gonzalez, brother-in-law, David Gonzalez, and nephew Donovan Gonzalez of El Paso, TX; brother, David Siqueiros, sister-in-law Andrea Siqueiros, and niece Rebecca Siqueiros of Miami Shores, FL; grandsons Steven Cardiel, Jonah Cole, and Isaac Cole; including many cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family members from the Siqueiros, Soto and Saucedo families. He was preceded in death by his father, Salvador Siqueiros. Pallbearers; David Siqueiros, Armando Saucedo, David Gonzalez, Jesse Harvel, Kelly Cole, Stephen Sjostrom. Honorary Pallbearers; Eladio Saucedo, Mike Saucedo, Armand Saucedo, Christian Aguirre, Michael Nunez. Visitation and viewing will be held at Sunset Funeral Home East, 750 N. Carolina, on Friday September 20, 2013 from 10:30AM. Funeral Mass at Cristo Rey, 8011 Williamette at 1pm and interment following Mass at Evergreen East Cemetery.
