Cipriano Salvador Lujan (82) passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025 at his home in El Paso, Texas. Cipriano, Cip or Cippy, as he was known to many, was a beloved father, brother, son, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many. He was born on September 26, 1942, in El Paso, Texas, to Salvador Rodriguez Lujan and Julia Fresas Lujan. Cip was the oldest of six children.
Cip graduated from Ysleta High School. After graduation, he joined the Army and served in Korea. He worked for Firestone for many years after his Army service and then worked for Fort Bliss in the financial office. His civil service relocated him to Fort Sill for several years before he was able to relocate back to Fort Bliss to complete his civil service. He retired and enjoyed his time participating in numerous activities including line dancing, yoga, walking and biking. He also enjoyed participating in the Veterans group of Socorro. He was known for his red Volkswagen bug, which was admired by many.
Cip was preceded in death by his mother Julia Lujan, father Salvador Lujan, sisters Estella and Eulalia Lujan, brothers Salvador Jr and Arturo Lujan, wife Margie Little, former wives Frances Duran, Priscilla Lujan, and son Michael Lujan. He is survived by his brother Jaime Lujan, sons Paul and Matthew Lujan, David Little, his daughter Michelle Cereceres (Ray Cereceres). Cip enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Evangelyna Ruiz-Lujan (Issac Mata), Raven Ruiz-Lujan (Cameron Muir), Mykaela Ruiz-Lujan (Gustavo Baza), Paul Anakin, Ariana Frances and Zenaida Ava Lujan. Cip also enjoyed meeting and playing with his great-grandchildren Isaac Cipriano Mata, Catalina Renee Baza Ruiz-Lujan and Ellyana Leah Ruiz-Lujan-Muir.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, TX 79907. A Mass will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (Horizon), 14600 Horizon Blvd, Horizon City, TX 79928.
An Inurnment will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907.
