Clara Lozano Martinez 87, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
Clara was born in El Paso, TX on August 12, 1938. Clara was a life-long El Pasoan. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Clara married the love of her life, Lorenzo, in 1957 until his untimely passing in 2004.
Clara was a devout Catholic. She was a faithful and active parishioner. Her faith was the foundation of her life, but her family was her greatest joy. Clara taught her family the value of kindness and compassion. She created a home filled with warmth and laughter. Clara was funny, loved leopard print and was an incredible cook. She expressed her love through food, and her family will forever cherish the memories of gathering around her table. Most
importantly, she loved her family and will be greatly missed.
Clara is preceded in death by her parents; Agapito and Rosario Lozano, husband of forty-seven years, Lorenzo; daughter Elizabeth Navejas: children (Valerie, Fernie, David); son Larry Martinez: children (Michelle, Larry Jr., Brianna, Brandy); grandson David; survived by her children Sandy Martinez (Chris, Amber), Lori Martinez-Macias/Eric (Katrina, Grace);
Michael Martinez Vero (Richard, Krista, Kassie, Kirsten) and 10 great grand-children.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home - East, 750 N. Carolina, Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at St. Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2709 Alabama St. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
