El Paso — Concepsion Urquiza, 75, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 27, 2015. He loved and lived for his family and was a pillar of strength for everyone he’s leaving behind. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Elena (Tiscareño) Urquiza his daughters, Alejandrina Hinson, Rita Vasquez and son Eduardo Urquiza and their spouses. Kevin Hinson, Gustavo Vasquez and Cristina Urquiza. Seven grandchildren Elaine, Danielle, Irene, Gustavo Jr., Eddie Jr., Janet, Kayla and her husband Duane Galindo.
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, son of Irene Urquiza. In his early years, Mr. Urquiza would help tend to cattle in his Family’s Ranch in Durango. Later moved to Cd. Juarez, Chih where he worked at the Central Camionera for several years. He moved with his family to El Paso, TX 36 years ago, where he worked at Insights Museum, and the University of Texas at El Paso, where he retired from.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 30th at Sunset Funeral Home West, with viewing from 5pm to 9pm and Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass will be held Thursday, October 1st at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Westway, Texas at 10:00 am. Internment will follow at Memory Gardens in Santa Teresa.
