Consuelo Moreno

Consuelo C. Moreno, 93, entered into eternal rest on April 24, 2022. Consuelo was born in Kent, Ohio to deceased parents, Gregorio Cadena and Amelia Rodriguez. She (Chelo) is survived by her husband, Jose Moreno, they were married for 72 years. Together they raised 12 children. Chelo was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother (19), and a Great Grandmother (18).

Chelo was a strong woman of faith and a long time Parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Chelo and Jose served as members in the Order of Servants of Mary (Siervos de Maria).

Those that remain to carry her legacy are sons and daughters: Carlos Moreno (Guillermina †); Juanita Pineda (David); Armida White (Harold); Josefina Spikes (Richard); Carmen Aguilar (Alejandro); Margarita Bear (Ronald); Jose Moreno Jr.; Consuelo Ramos; Emilia Torres (Raul); Maria Davis †; Amelia Moreno †; and Felicitas Moreno †. Two brothers, Guadalupe and Pablo Cadena; and sister, Socorro Ortega †.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, May 04, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes-East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, May 05, 2022 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 Rosedale St. Interment to follow at 10:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
