Cruz E. Ramirez

Cruz E. Ramirez, age 77, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Cruz was preceded in death by his parents, Elias Ramirez and Manuela Tarin, and his sister, Mary Ramirez.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Armida Ramirez; his children, Arturo Ramirez (Melissa) and Cristina Urquiza (Eduardo); his sisters, Yolanda Fernandez and Dolores Ramirez; and his grandchildren, Michael Ramirez (Annette), Isabella Ramirez, Eduardo Urquiza Jr., and Janet Urquiza. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory and honor the life he shared with them.

May his memory be eternal, and may he rest in peace.

Pallbearers include: Arturo Ramirez, Michael Ramirez, Eduardo Urquiza, Eduardo Urquiza Jr., Jonathan Benitez, and Rudy Fernandez.

A Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Homes-West, with a Celebration of Life commencing at 11:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
