Cynthia Truesdell Carey

August 22, 1951 — September 13, 2025

Cynthia Truesdell Carey, age 74, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Cynthia lived a full life marked by love, dedication, and remarkable accomplishments.

Born with a natural drive and a generous spirit, Cynthia built a diverse and impactful career. She practiced law with integrity, guided businesses with vision, and cared for others as a skilled chiropractor and functional medicine specialist. Her professional journey reflected her passion for helping people in every way she could. Cynthia loved our Lord Jesus and was an active part of Abundant Church in El Paso.

At home, Cynthia’s warmth was felt most in the kitchen, where her love of cooking brought family and friends together. She believed meals were more than food - they were a way to connect, celebrate, and comfort. Family and friends fondly remember the warmth of her table, where every meal became a celebration and every gathering a memory to cherish. She will be remembered for her sharp mind, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Fandira Caroline Truesdell, and by her youngest son, Zander Field. She is survived by her husband: Thomas V. Carey; her oldest son, Kenton Field (Kelli); her stepsons James L. Carey (Lori) and Thomas S. Carey (Donna); her grandchildren Gwendolyn Carey, Amelia Carey, MacGregor Carey, and Josiah Carey; and her brothers, Robert Truesdell and Russell Truesdell. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.

Her life will be celebrated with an open house at her home on Sunday, October 12, 2025, where friends and family are invited to gather and honor her legacy anytime from noon to 6:00pm. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-West, 480 N. Resler.

Cynthia’s kindness, wisdom, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Jesus assures us by saying, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25). Cynthia is now at peace in the presence of her Lord, and we look forward to the day when we will be reunited with her in the glory of God’s everlasting kingdom.
