Daniel Wayne Graham
September 16, 1935 - May 5, 2018
Dan Graham, 82, passed away peacefully in the early morning of May 5th after a long illness. He was at home and surrounded by family. Dan was a lifelong resident of the EI Paso area. He graduated from Austin High School in 1954. He spent his career in construction working first as a master plumber and then as owner of Graham Construction Company. He also owned a pistachio orchard in Chaparral, New Mexico, before retiring for the last time back to El Paso.
He was an inventor, an adventurer, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his dogs, boating, dancing, scuba diving, traveling, gardening and cooking. He was always busy. There was always work to do. Right up to the end he was worried about his projects and assigning people tasks.
Dan was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Ann Reid Graham, his parents, Daniel H. Graham and Cleo Wambold Giannini, his step father Martin Gianini and his brother Donald Graham.
Dan is survived by Barbara his wife of 22 years, and his three daughters, Sheree (John) Ward, Dani Schwartz and Brad, and Beth (Dean) Jenks. Dan is also survived by his two step sons, Rick (Sandy) Weyrauch and Steve (Kendra) Weyrauch.
Dan's nine grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Jeanne, Rachel, Zachary, Megan, Matthew, David and Aaron will always remember him for his generosity and sense of adventure.
Dan also is survived by his five great grandchildren, Lauren, Violet, Jaylee, Ryan and Royce.
Also missing Dan are his two dogs, Charley and Pogo. His beloved standard poodle Jasmine preceded Dan in death.
A memorial service will be held Saturday May 19,2018 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Lutheran Church, 4801 Sun Valley Drive followed by a luncheon. Burial will be private.
