David Peter Sampson

David Peter Sampson graced this world on November 13, 1921 Mansura, Louisiana. He was born to Simon and Corine Sampson. On October 17, 2015 David Peter Sampson Sr. was called home to our Heavenly Father. His legacy lives on through his wife Dorothy Moore Sampson, his children David Moore, Rose Perches, Renee Vega, Norma Clark, Darryl Hudson, Joe Sampson, Willie Sampson, Paul Sampson, Jacob Sampson, Irene Sampson and his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and siblings. He is preceded in death by his siblings Pearl Sampson, Paul Sampson, and Rafael Sampson, David Peter Sampson served in the US Army for 20 years, was in World War II in 1939, and the Korean War in 1950. May the Lord cradle him in his loving arms as he deserves. He was a loving dedicated husband for over 50 years to Dorothy Moore Sampson, and he was a beautiful loving father and great grandfather. David loved God and had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, so it is not with sorrow that we perceive his passing, but with great peace and celebration knowing that he now resides in everlasting glory with the Father. He will be greatly missed, but will live on in our hearts and memories forever. Visitation: 5-9pm on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service: 12 noon on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Destiny Family Christian Center. Committal Service: 1:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
