Dennis Lucas

After years of Kidney Failure, Dennis Lucas, 54, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 Dennis had a great love of music, he played the saxophone and guitar. Dennis also enjoyed singing Karaoke with his friends at Special Edition and Larry O’s Lounge. “Sorry Jim” He was a proud member of IATSE LOCAL 153 since 1994 where he ground rigged, operated Spot Lights, stagehand for many concerts, movies, shows, (Tool, AC/DC, Ozzy Osborn, Traffic, Glory Road, Courage Under Fire, The Day After Tomorrow and Viva El Paso!) Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Armendina (Trevino) Lucas, Dennis leaves behind, his Love Annette Benavides Brothers, Jerry of El Paso and David (Mary) of Missouri; Son, Robert of El Paso; Nieces, Amber (Bryan), Amanda Lucas and Ami Lucas. Visitation will be from 5-9PM with a Vigil/Rosary at 7PM on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Mass will be said beginning at 10AM on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will be Private. There will be a gathering at Special Edition Lounge following the Funeral Mass.
