In Loving Memory: Dhruva Singh Rana

August 6, 2005 – January 17, 2026

With deep reverence, love, and sorrow, we remember our beloved son, Dhruva Singh Rana, an extraordinary young man who lived a life of immense purpose, discipline, and purity.

A soul deeply rooted in the Hindu faith; Dhruva’s life was guided by the virtues of humility and compassion. He was known for his gentle nature and a smile that radiated constant positivity. With a heart free of malice and a mind focused on self-improvement, he pursued perfection in every endeavor he touched.

Dhruva’s passion for the skies began at the age of thirteen. By sixteen, he had achieved the remarkable distinction of becoming both a certified glider pilot and a single-engine pilot. This dedication to aviation was matched only by his commitment to leadership; he served as a Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol and attained the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, embodying the principles of integrity and duty.

His commitment to excellence continued at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where he was enrolled in the Aerospace Engineering program, aligning his academic brilliance with his lifelong passion for innovation and flight. Beyond his studies, he spent his time honoring history by volunteering at warplane museums, preserving the legacy of those who flew before him.

Answering a profound call to serve his nation, Dhruva enlisted in the United States Army. He excelled in his training and served with the same honor, courage, and discipline that defined his character.

He is lovingly survived by his parents and younger brother, along with an extended family and a circle of friends who cherished him deeply. Though his time on earth was brief, his spiritual light, devotion to service, and pure heart leave behind a legacy that will live on forever.

The Eternal Promise

न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचित् नायं भूत्वा भविता वा न भूयः। अजो नित्यः शाश्वतोऽयं पुराणो न हन्यते हन्यमाने शरीरे॥ “The soul is never born, nor does it die. Eternal and everlasting, it is not destroyed when the body is destroyed.” (Bhagavad Gita 2.20) ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः May his soul attain eternal peace.
