Dian A. Gonzalez

We are sad to announce the passing of Dian A. Gonzalez on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the age of 61 after complications following heart surgery. Dian is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Ray Gonzalez, her oldest son, Matthew Gonzalez, her youngest son, Martin Gonzalez, her daughter-in-law, Danielle Gonzalez, her mother, Edelmira Apodaca, her sister, Deborah Graham, her brother-in-law Ronald Graham, her brother, Arthur Apodaca, as well as a large extended family in El Paso, Texas and across various states. Dian was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grantie, and friend to all those she came into contact with. She dedicated her career to being an educator and taught at Polk Elementary for 25 years. Dian was a dog-lover and she enjoyed swimming, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, Dian was a woman of faith and we are comforted knowing that she has the gift of eternal life. She is loved deeply, missed terribly, and will always hold a place in our hearts.

We would love for you to join us in honoring her life during a viewing and rosary from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, with the rosary beginning at 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 480 N. Resler Drive, El Paso, TX 79912. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, December 23, 2022 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 930 E Redd Road, El Paso, TX 79912. A celebration of life reception will be held after mass.

The family would like to express our thanks for the support and care provided by loved ones over the past several months. If so desired, friends may make memorial contributions to Dian’s church of attendance, St. Luke’s Catholic Church.
