Dolores Maldonado

Dolores Maldonado, 57, was a strong and resilient woman who remained determined and unwavering until the end. On January 29, 2017, while surrounded by her family, she passed away and went to be with the Lord. Dolores was a mother, sister, and friend; but above all else, she was a loving, proud and devoted grandmother to her 6 grandchildren, Diego Augustin, Giancarlo Enrique, Mauro Santino, Ydalis Gissel, Joaquin Damian, and Anahi Briel. Dolores loved being with her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a true zest for life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Alma and Gerardo Maldonado, Sr. She is survived by her children Raelene Faith Mota, Jesus Martin Maldonado, and Lovette Ilene Leyva; her brothers, Gerardo Maldonado, Jr., Javier Maldonado, and Jesus Ricardo Maldonado; her six grandchildren; her niece’s Sharlae Erin Potter and Rylee Evelyn Maldonado; her nephew Gerardo Maldonado, III, M.D.; and her sons-in-law Arturo Mota and Jesus D. Leyva. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 4:00 - 9:00 pm with Vigil/Rosary at 7:30 pm at Sunset Funeral Home – East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at San Antonio Catholic Church, 503 Hunter. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East.
