Donald Ray Kennedy

Donald Ray Kennedy, 67, of Greenville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014. Donald is survived by his wife Sun Yo Kennedy of 38 years, his sisters Karyn Courtney and Maryann Conforti, his sons William Alan and Donald Cho Kennedy, daughters Lisa Tippet and Sherri Meehan, and his eight grandchildren Camron, Jeremie, Nickolas, Aurora, Cassandra, Justin, Sarah and Mitchell. He retired from the U.S. Army with full honors after twenty years of devoted service to his country. Upon settling in El Paso, he procured several jobs until he joined Sun Metro where he retired as a dispatcher. Donald was always a great listener. Anyone who had the pleasure of speaking with him knew what a comforting person he was. He also enjoyed collecting dragons and puzzles, but his true passion was riding his motorcycle as much as possible. But aside from all that, he was first and foremost a loyal husband, wonderful father and loving grandfather. The viewing will be at Sunset Funeral Home, 4631 Hondo Pass, on Tuesday August 26th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Burial services will be Friday afternoon August 29th at Fort Bliss Cemetery, at 2:30pm.
