Edmund Joseph Osborn, 77, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 23, 2026. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, and father who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna Osborn and Susan Osborn, half-brother, John Ehmcke , daughter, Rochelle Osborn, and his parents, Edmund Girard Osborn and Ellen Marian Abercrombie.
A proud retired veteran of the United States Army, Staff Sergeant Edmund Joseph Osborn served his country in the 4th Infantry Division, 269th Aviation Battalion, 75th Rangers, and later with the 1st Armored Division at Fort Hood, where he concluded his career in the Military Police Corps. He served with honor, courage, and unwavering dedication. During his years of service, he was stationed in several locations throughout the United States and overseas. Among his distinguished decorations, he was awarded the Medal of Honor and the Purple Heart in recognition of his extraordinary bravery and sacrifice. His commitment to duty and love of country remained defining parts of his character throughout his life.
Ed was a devoted spouse, filled with love, companionship, and faith. He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Aldaz-Osborn; his beloved children and stepchildren; his nieces and nephews; and his loving sister, Judy Ehmcke Gonsalves. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish and honor his memory.
A Holy Rosary will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 26, 2026, with a Funeral Mass to commence at 11:00 am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1551 Belvidere Street, El Paso, Tx, 79912. Graveside Service will follow at 1:00 pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, with Full Military Honors.
