Eduardo Martinez

Eduardo “ Lalo” Martinez, 73, passed away on November 12, 2014 in El Paso, Texas. He was born on December 11, 1940 in El Paso, Texas to Refugio and Margarita Martinez. Eduardo grew up in El Paso and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1959. After high school he joined the United States Air force and proudly served his country until 1963. He then continued to work many more years as a Painting Contractor in El Paso. Eduardo married Dolores in 1966 in El Paso. They were happily married for 48 years. Eduardo was preceded in death by his parents Refugio and Margarita Martinez and brothers, Hector Martinez and Daniel Martinez. Eduardo is survived by his spouse Dolores of Mesilla, NM and his three children: Dolores and her husband Roger Genera, Tracy and her husband Mark Vasquez, and Michael Martinez; seven grandchildren: Lisa, Alex, Joshua, Samantha, Briana, Alyssa and Aaron; great-grandchild, Damian; brothers: Victor Martinez and Ruben Martinez; sisters: Luz Martinez and Jenny Serros; his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m., with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:30 p.m., Monday, November 17, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
