Edward Wayne Elerick, 78, passed away on June 9, 2026, in El Paso, Texas. He was born on May 19, 1948, in Wheeling, West Virginia. Edward lived a life marked by dedication to his country, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for his family.

A proud veteran, Edward served with distinction in the United States Army for 18 years, including service during the Iraq War. His bravery, discipline, and commitment to duty were hallmarks of his character. Following his honorable military service, Edward settled in Marion, Ohio, where he began a long career with Whirlpool, working diligently until his retirement in 2010.

Edward’s greatest legacy is the family he built and cherished. He is survived by his wife, Edythe Elerick; his children, Jane Bailey, Thomas Elerick, and Eric Elerick; his grandchildren, Andrew Bailey, Corey Bailey, Dakota Elerick, and Dominick Elerick; his great-grandson, Avery Bailey; and his beloved dog, Baby.
