Eleanor Alberta Howell

Eleanor Howell, 90, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at her home in El Paso, Texas. She was born in and loved the Bermuda Islands which she always called “home”. She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas R. Howell, Sr. who she met while he was serving in the U.S. Navy flying reconnaissance missions over the Atlantic Ocean seeking German submarines during WW II. She is also predeceased by sons Stephen L. Howell and J. Eldon Howell. Eleanor is survived by her son, Thomas R. Howell, Jr. and his wife Nancy, sister Barbara W. Frith, brother Douglas A. Frith and his wife Maria, grandsons Tom D. Howell, Matthew D. Howell and wife Michelle, James M. Howell, and granddaughters Sherrill Howell, and Riann Howell Lackey and husband Jeremy, and great grandson Cody Bunch. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews living in Bermuda, Canada, and Australia. A person more caring, kind, and considerate of others has yet to walk on this earth. Beautiful Eleanor, you will be lovingly missed by all who knew you. A graveside funeral service will be held at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery on Thursday April 9th at 2:30pm. Arrangements are by Sunset Funeral Homes, 480 N. Resler, El Paso, TX.
